S2000 Talk Discussions related to the S2000, its ownership and enthusiasm for it.

Has anyone ever shared a s2000? Or a car for that matter?

Here's a thought.I don't know your financial situation and it's none of my business anyway. That said, it sounds like you have the means to afford some nice cars. I know a guy that has 5 Porsches (at last count) and a two car garage. He has a high ceiling and one lift so that leaves room for 3 cars in his home garage. What he did was partner with another guy and they rented a unit. Basically, it is a bay in an older industrial building. The partner has a lift, workbench, etc. and was working on an old Porsche last time I was there. There is enough room to park/work on about 6 cars in the unit. It has a loft area over the front entrance where they store extra tires, parts etc. The front area (like a small office) has a old desk with a coffee maker, etc. You get the message. These guys and a handful of car guys (usually 356 owners) meet there, have coffee, talk cars, etc. In fact, I am going to head there in a few minutes as they are getting together this morning. I'm located in SoCal and real estate isn't cheap here but, shared between two or three guys, this could be an affordable alternative and keep peace at home.

Note: Friend had three cars when we leased the unit about a year ago. With the extra storage space, the number of cars has increased. Be careful!

Why do you need a GTR and an Evo? its like two sizes of the same thing.

I'd sell the Evo and get an S2000.

I totally vote sell the Evo, buy an S2k!

But honestly you have other cars so I don't see why sharing an extra one would be such a bad idea if you really trust the person. Me and this girl went in together on a Ninja 250 for a couple of years. Was fun as hell and we had a system that worked perfectly! Till things got weird with us..(long story that wouldn't apply to you since the person you would be sharing the s2k with is a guy)

So men swap wives.

But anyway, I bought a car when I had a permit and let my sister use it most of the time, since she needed it more and my job was local. Long story short, I won't be doing that again. Don't forget issues with insurance in case of a costly claim.
