Has anyone had this many problems with there S?
I'm at 50k miles. I'm on my 3rd clutch, 2nd set of rotors, 4th diff, 2nd head. For what I use it for, replacing Honda parts is a LOT cheaper than replacing Bimmer / Porsche parts.
If you have no room in your budget and you spend your maint money on "mods...." You're better off getting a new Honda Fit, Cobalt SS, or Scion TC and modding that.
There's a reason why a $30k car costs $10k 8 years later. Depreciation is a real thing and comes at a trade off.
Oh, also forgot: 3rd set of hubs and 2nd set of CVs.
Last year we burned through 5 sets of tires as well.....

mmm some of that seems normal but 4 diffs? o_O
Diff #1: OEM, replaced with HTG-installed Comptech reinforced diff with 4.57 gears (2003)
Diff #2: the 4.57 gears had a tooth off the pinion gear break off. Replaced with a used OEM diff.
Diff #3: the used OEM diff lasted less than one autocross season with 315-sized Hoosier A6s and drag launches. Sheared another pinion tooth off this one as well. Replaced with a spare OEM diff I had stocked up.
Diff #4: OEM diff replaced a week later with R200 diff.
I would NOT recommend the Driveshaft Shop pieces of the InlinePro kit. Chris (at InlinePro) was great, but Frank (at DSS) denied anything was wrong with his product. Even though things needed to be replaced multiple times. It's been a massive cluster.
I'd recommend Ben (Puddymod Racing) for anyone looking to upgrade their diff.
Where are you getting a top for 600? I want one! I have one tear and three more expected...plus the cigarette burns from some @sshat in a parking lot. That was the last time I left it parked with the top down...even for just five minutes...
