Has anyone perfected the hop?
I like Kumars method, though it looks like he might scratch his toes on the paint, which is bad. I'll try it out tomorrow in socks. Though, I have to avoid the steering wheel, which will make it pretty difficult.
jeggy: I'm gonna try that way too.
I'd love to have this perfected before I detail my car.

I did it more than a few times in my last convertible, a Merc Capri XR2. (Cheap, fun college beater from years ago)
But I'm 6'2 and 165, so in the S, sliding in under the steering wheel seems a bit hard--I've never had the nerve to try it.

I had the same thought and it made me wish that I bought one of those junky MY2000 cars that I saw (already scratched up, etc) so I could test it out.
I really don't think it's so easily possible for the driver because of the steering wheel, but much more likely for the passenger.
Notice Kumar is the passenger in the video above.
EDIT: Although, with the top down, I can simply stretch over and step in my car. I did it one time in socks.

I definitely think Kumar is onto something with the two-handed technique. The S2000 clearly offers a little less maneuvering room but I think with the right starting point and jump strength, that method should get you pretty close after just a couple of attempts.vThat said, he was approaching from the passenger seat which offers fewer obstacles from the seat approach through to completion of the maneuver.
Overall, I'd say it's possible, even for the average-sized S2000 owner, but I would only try it in appropriately soft/smooth clothing.
