Been thinking. Could you possibly just buy some diffusers from Rick's and make them fit on the AP2 assembly? Would be a whole lot easier than buying AP1 headlights.

You could buy the diffusers, but you would still have to hack the whole back of the headlight apart right there, custom fiberglass the diffuser in place, then find a way to mount the bulbs again. Then you would also have to smooth it all out to make it look good. Way to much work imo. You can trade your headlight for ap1 lights plus like $300. People will pay good money for ap2 headlights, and I wouldnt destroy a set just to look like ap1's. If anything, I would just get some ap1 headlights then do a silver ring in them. Plus if you mess up then, you messed up a $400-$500 set of headlights, not a $800-$1000 pair.

If I had AP1 headlights, I'd paint them to match the body of the car and add the Mulderized lenses.

I was thinking about painting the chrome ring around the projector lense in my ap1 headlights but was wondering if that would hurt the lighting since it won't be reflective.

Only thing I would want to do is swap the ap1 projectors into my AP2 headlights. The ap1 projectors are so much sharper. Has this been done by anyone?
