In short, No.
The reason is we have other cars we drive. GTR, AMG S550, LP-560-4, Maserati GT MR. Z06 and a Camaro 1LE. They all have their goods and bads. We love each car for their own abilities. Short of my truck and the wifes Expedition the S2000 is the slowest thing we have to drive. We still love the top down toss it into the corner and it sticks ability. That is what makes it so much fun.

I've worked at a few sport/luxury car dealerships so I've driven hundreds of nice cars. Plenty in the $100K-$200K range. While the s2000 is a turtle compared to most of them, I still think the s2000 is more fun to drive.

100% for me. Since my last S (AP1) I have owned a few STI's, an Evo 8, 3 different E46 M3's, and more and I STILL find myself wanting when I get back into an S (as a second car, my daily is a new Tacoma) There is something about the mechanical and simple nature that is so appealing. Power is a lesser concern for me.

I went from high hp turbo'd charge AWD cars to an S2K.. i always didn't like the S2K due to the price they were selling at the time, i mean 25k S2K vs 25K Evo 8/9 both are very different cars but i just wanted more power so the evo won that battle.

I've always have AWD cars, 2.5RS GC8 EJ207 swapped, 2006 EVO MR, 2011 STI. i also had a RB25 S13, but that car didn't last too long. sold it a year or so after i finished it.

The S2K is definitely better than the STI, and every time i drive a friends STI or sit passenger, it feels for sure boring.

Handling wise the S2K was the 2nd best handling car and most fun car i ever had, 2nd to the Evo. Evo wins due to turbo / awd goodness w/ jdm diff mod (makes it oversteer more)

An Elise made the S2k feel like a Lexus, esp. in steering feel. But I will say the creature comforts and "normalness" were worth the sacrifice for me most of the time.

I'm saving for a fun/exotic car in a few years, and I'm very tempted to get an Atom instead of something "traditionally" more exotic like a 911 or R8. Do you have a review thread? How did you go about buying/driving one?

It's actually my brother's car who is staying with me. He had a friend who knew someone that was off loading the Atom, so he bought it. The car is crazy sensitive in first gear and a thrill to drive. It's everything Jeremy Clarkson raved about when he did his review.

2006
Engine: 2.0 liter Supercharged Ecotec (300 HP)
0-60 2.8
1/4 mile in 10.6 @ 126
60-0 in 99 feet

Like I mentioned above, it's a blast to drive. Sitting low on the ground, the supercharger music to your ears, the openness of the drive, and the incredible acceleration!!!! My plan is to throw a KW supercharger into my s2000 in the near future.

No.
In fact it makes me love driving in my other car even more. Maybe I'm just getting old (38) or I've owned the S2000 for too long (17 years), but I have to be in the mood to drive it. It does keep the mileage down.

So awesome. Now I just have to convince the wife that it's safe enough to drive on the street!

While I don't have an Atom, I can understand how you feel. This shares the garage with my S2000:

Me too, as much as I love the S2000 I have to be in the mood as well.
Sometimes it makes me appreciate the relative comfort, quite and torque of my VW Golf R.
