Hats? Bugs? How to handle them in an S2k.
how about one of those visor caps. I use one of those over the summer. My sister started using it due to her long hair and it works fine for both of us. Try that.
In regards to the bugs, don't know about that one. I'm hoping since I'm near DC, I won't have that problem.

I wear a baseball cap for 2 reasons: To keep my hair under control, and to keep the sun out of my eyes. Even when I wear sunglasses, the sun still gets in the top gap between my face and the sunglasses. A cap helps that.
I got the S2000 cap from http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-04.html (a sponsor) for $11.95 It's got a buckle in the back. I put it on, tuck my "side hair" up under it, and pull the strap to tighten it. I keep it pulled low for both the sun and to keep it from blowing off. It might help that I'm only 5' 9"
The sides are curved down a lot, and that helps keep in from blowing off, too.
At night, I wear a beanie, to keep my hair under control, and to keep my head warm. It gets cold at night in the winter here. Of course, "cold" in San Diego means 55 !
We don't get many bugs here. Ants, yes, but not a lot of flying bugs.

I have to wear a ball cap when I'm at work (when I'm outside, it's a Navy thing) so don't mind wearing a ball cap when I'm in my S2K with the top down (especally when it's 20 degrees out with the top down) major reason I wear a ball cap is to keep the sun out of my eyes though when I'm driving...
I am almost totally bald and have to wear a ball cap otherwise the sun will fry my pate! My solution has been to put a small piece of carpet tape on the top and the back of my head and stick on the cap. I could drive through a hurricane! I have to be careful to take the tape off though when the cap is put aside. Last week I woke up in the morning and walked around the house for an hour looking for my wife.. You guessed it. She was stuck to the top of my head!
