Default Have you painted your rotors?

Wondering where to purchase 1500 degree rotor paint that can be applied with a brush. Can someone point me in the right direction?

No, I haven't painted my rotors but I have painted my Calipers.

I recommend using a spray on "BBQ paint" or high temp spray on engine/header paint. You can pick up the BBQ paint at any Hardware store or most automotive supply stores for header paint. Cost is between $3-9 per can.

DO NOT buy the two part paint on crap from the rice shops or catalogs, its made for people who leave their cars parked in the garage.

I dont think you can paint your rotors because when you use the brakes it will take the paint right off. You can paint your calipers with high temp paint though.

I think that he means calipers. I use to say break pads before I was corrected.

You can paint the rotors where the pads don't come in contact with them. Someone on the site painted the vanes to eliminate the rust line on the inside of the wheel. I will see if I can find it.

First of all, you can paint the rotors, the veins as well as the the center section around the hub. I would like to do mine in silver.
Second- painting calipers with a two part paint is fine- not just for the garage queens.
Third- I am not a language arts major or anything, but I think it's brake pads- break pads is very bad, I MEAN VERY BAD!

Yes, you can mask off the rotor and spray them but it is easier when removed because they must also be clean. I spray mine and they would probably stay perfect but the heat from track use is tough on the paint.

CAD is the best!!! I think I saw cdelena's rotor's last year at Sac2Kdays and can tell you they look awesome in person!! If they weren't cdelena's, then someone's painted rotors looked awesome!!
