Default Header-back vs. Test pipe exhaust

I was looking at the J's 60rs and thinking that with a test pipe it would probably produce some solid gains, and not be too, too loud. But once you add a TP to the cost of the J's 60rs your getting up into the price range of the 70RR. I realize these exhausts differ in diameter, but what is the performance advantage of a header-back exhaust compared to a similar exhaust with a test pipe? Does the 60rs have some kind of resonator built into its design that causes some restriction? What would be the sound difference between the 70RR and the 60rs assuming the 60rs was mated to a TP? Which exhaust would you be more inclined to purchase?

Thanks
-Aaron
