Default headlights auto off?

does your s2000 headlight turn off automatically if you leave it on for a few minutes when the car is off?

I was reading the forum and some say their does it, and some doesn't.

thanks,

I've never left them on for a long period of time, but I don't think mine have auto off. It would be cool if they were like my Toyota where they would automatically go off when you open the door and the when key is out of the ignition.

Mine doesn't that's for sure ... I've seen an Aus-Spec silver parked at the Sydney Casino once with it's HIDs blaring for a few hours. Hmm, the owner sure didn't have a problem starting the car later because he left before I did.

Do any of the electrical gurus on this forum know a way of wiring it so that the lights would turn off automatically once the key is out of the ignition?

I would love to leave my lights on all the time, and have the luxury of having the car turn my lights off once I took the key out.

My friend's (Back-Cracker's) S2000 sure doesn't. He left his '01 with lights on at the movie theater parking lot for 2 hours. Luckily he didn't have trouble starting the car afterwards.
