Default Headlights not fitted flush to fender / bumper.

hey guys,

I got my car back from the bodyshop recently. The first body shop didn't do a good job of fixing my car (had an accident) so I had to take it to another one to do repair. Everything now looks great except that the headlights does not fit flush to the fender at all. The lights fitted such that its sucked in a bit from the fender and the bumper.

No body knows why its like this. They did frame measurement on the lower and upper part of the body and everything comes out within factory spec. Is this simply an installation issue?

Anyone can recommend a good place for me to go here in So Cal who has experience fitting this headlights in? I have read couple of other posts about fitting the headlights to be flush to the fender to be of a tricky thing to do with the S2000.

Thx.
-Joe

You can fix this your self. It just takes a bit of time and care. See our installation instructions for our S2000 Clear Diffuser Installation Instructions. http://www.ricks2k.com/info/install.php

It will show you how to remove and install the headlights. You need to be sure to catch the top hook on the headlights. to get them in Right. Also if you tighten the lower rear bolt first you will have the same problem.

I had the same problem. I hit a racoon and cracked my bumper cover. When I got it back from the body shop, it had a larger gap and I had to take it back. They could not do anything to help. I have an AP2 and for some reason the screw inside by the light is not there on mine. I can't find anything to attach the top of the bumper cover to the screw hole? I am about to just use some silocone and be done with it. Anyone got any ideas? I can take some pics if you need them. Hard to explain.
