Compare the S4 lights with those on an Audi TT; the difference is (no pun intended) like night and day. (Oh, and as far as the first photo goes, shut off your fogs, it's not foggy out! )

I didn't say the headlights on the S4 (or S2000) were bad, just IMHO not as good as those on the Audi TT or Porsche Boxster, IMHO.

 

I think you just notice the cutoff more because the lights are so brilliant. Personally, I dig the HIDs.

 

I love how if you stand in front of our headlights they will draw a straight line across you jeans

 

It's that "line on your jeans" cutoff that threw me the first time I saw it and made the S2000's HIDs a bit less useful here on the roads I drive.

I'm surprised no one has noted that Consumer Reports somehow found my all-time favorite HIDs, those on the Audi TT, to be the worst in their tests. Personally I think they had a bad car, but that's neither here nor there.

I appreciate people taking the time to note their experiences and hope to get a photo I can post one of these days so the cutoff can be compared with the photo of the S2000's HIDs posted earlier in this thread...
