Default Headlilght Adjust

I know there are several threads about headlight adjustment and i've read several i still need to know if when looking at the beam pattern, is it suppose to be a straight line from left to right or with a jump in the middle

the bump is part of the actual HID beampattern. cover up one lens and the bump will still be there it can't be adjusted. something to do with being high on one side to show signs, but low on the other to not blind oncoming traffic. as for aligning the two beams, i think you just make the low sides of each beam even.

I'm by no means trying to hi-jack your thread, but, I have a really stupid/quick question, and if I had an s2k, I'd go out and answer my question for myself

But, I'm wondering if any of you know if your HIDs stay on when you turn your brights on?

Thanks

Adam

Here you go, homie:

Perfectly flat on the right and left, with the elevation in the center. This keeps the beams out of the eyes of oncoming traffic.

Seriously- GET A FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL.

All the details are there, like how far to be away from the wall when adjusting, and how high the top of the pattern should be from the ground. I think it was 25ft and 19.5 inches, but it's been a long time since I've done it, so I could be wrong.

Good Luck, and don't forget the extra-long Phillips head!
