Default Heat is always on?

Anyone ever notice that the heat is constantly coming through the vents in the S2K when you are driving even when the fan is off. I just noticed however that you can stop the flow if you turn on the recirc button. Maybe this is obvious, but none of my other cars have even done this.

No heat through mine unless I actually dial the heat on. I get just cool outside air.

That's part of the wierdness. When the fan is off, you can actually turn the temp dial and feel the temp change.

I misunderstood your original post. I get it now. Yes, if you have the fan off and the heat dialed up, you still get heat coming through the vents because the air is still flowing through the system. If you don't want heat, turn it off or down. The ventilation system is always flowthru unless you do recirc. Then you shut the air off from outside. When the car is moving you'll always be pushing air through the system. If you have heat dialed in, then you heat this air. All the fan switch does is control the fan and the A/C if you select it. That is to say, if you have selected A/C AND you have the fan switch all the way off, no A/C either.

See, you actually do learn something new every day. I never thought to try the recirc. button to stop the flow through with the fan off. Thanks for the tip.
