Heat Shields Noisy

My heat shields pop alot and make alot of noise, doesnt really bother me as if somthing was wrong as much as annoy me, do they quit popping as much when the car gets older , car has 2k on it?

mine still make pop and crack noise after six year of service, never really take note of this so i can't say

I think you are talking about the catalytic converter. It makes popping noises with different amounts of heat. If you get a test pipe, you'll notice those noises are gone.
