If Honda replaces a part on my car, do I have a right to keep the old one?

 

If they replace something under warranty, you arent entitled to a handshake, let alone the old part. If YOU pay for the new part, you own the old part as well, and can have it back.

Depending on the part, and if you kiss enough ass, they might let you have it, but usually no.

They usually require that the old part be sent back for evaluation if it's under warranty.

 

yep... and thats why they wouldnt lemme take home my steering wheel after they replaced it

 

Yeah unless you actually knew the person replacing the part for you I would bet you will have little to no chance of keeping the old one. Cant hurt to ask though
