Well, i learnt something the hard way this afternoon. Was leaving a store and saw a NICE integra pulling outta the same parking lot (Burnt orange, 240 front end, H22, Skyline GT-R taillights, etc). Well the car was cold 1-2 bars (AP1). Tried to catch up to flag em' down to talk to the guy. Well 3/4 throttle and right at 6,000rpms where vtec changes over the car BOGGED violently, so i upsift and AGIAN! Bogged. Wow, so i didn't know this. Bogged rather violently. Everything seems to be fine, no weird noises, etc. Anywho, akward suprise. Anyone else have a similar experience?


As a side note, caught up with the teg and ran him and no contest (slipping clutch and all). Pulled into a gas station and hung with the guy for a few minutes checking out the car. Awesome everything top to bottom, nice craftsmanship. H22 with bolt ons, hasport mounts, and his best time he claimed was a 15 flat!?

next time..i would wait till you hit the 3 bar mark. when she's all nice and warm, she'll be ready to go.

What's VTEC?

 

uh, yeah, boggling as in bouncing off the cold start limiter. Usually people UP-shift when they hit a limiter.......


wouldn't make much sense to hit a rev limiter and downshift now would it?


Upshift--> 2->3
Downshift-> 2->1
