Help!!! '03 vs '04 and Price?
I currently have a MY03 on hold at a local dealership. I have been a huge fan of the S2000 since it came out. Drove one a couple of weeks ago and loved it...
Does anyone know when we should hear more details about the MY04? I thought someone had mentioned that specs should be on Hondanews.com this week sometime. I am on the fence as to which one to get.
Also, does anyone have a sense as to a fair price in the South Carolina/North Carolina area? This particular dealer came down to $32,500. I've heard people are picking up MY03s for invoice.
Thanks for the help...

Hey man, I picked up my '03 two months ago in Charlotte for $31.3 out the door. That includes tax, tags, title, and all those little dealer fees. I'd bet you can do better than that now with the '04s coming out. PM me if you want some details. The best advice I can offer is to email every dealer in the area and ask for thier best price. Remember to bargain on out the door(OTD) price, or they'll zap you with the dealer fees. Good luck!

Dante,
Thanks for the info. I put the deposit on the car to hold it for a couple of days (so maybe I could get some more '04 info). I figured there were better deals out there. I think I will take your advice (which is how I got the price down on the 00 Civic Si), and e-mail a bunch of dealers.
Anyone else have some info regarding pricing in the Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC area???
Thanks,
Chris

I personally am waiting for the '04. I am confident the improvements will be worth the wait and the car will be a MY newer. A MY03 is a year old in depreciation already. Fortunately, I do a fair amount of business with a local dealer and will score for $500. over for an '04.
Being a third car, I can wait...(don't WANT to, but will)
Tick, tock, tick, tock...

Personally, I'd wait for the '04 to be on the lot at a dealer where you can drive it compared to an '03 if there is in-fact differences on the vehicle design.
You can read all day long about which one has what but until you sit behind the wheel you'll never know for sure. If you're not in an immediate need for transportation the wait shouldn't kill you and if you end up not liking the '04, you should be able to pick up the '03 even cheaper.
