Help in Buying a s2000
I am planning on checking out a S2000 tomorrow at a honda dealeship! Wanting to see what you guys think about this and if its a yes or no. Kinda worried that it has low miles like that and they are selling it at that price.

for a dealer listed car that price is under current market- although the Suzuka blue is not everyone's cup of s2000 tea (I love the colour). how long has it been sitting on their lot? miles look good for that price in my opinion.
check for all 10 VIN numbers, especially on the metal panels.
will they allow you to check the valve retainers, do a compression test?
how does it drive? OBD2 codes?
check it out.

Also on its Carfax it was side swiped. I’m pretty sure I need to worry about that

I agree with t's2000. Unless your plan is to sell the car, matching Vin's aren't an issue as long as the car is straight and any repairs were done well. Before I bought my S (also Suzuka), I saw a couple of others that had obvious mods that may have indicated track use (modified exhaust, suspension, etc.). I held out for a car that was mostly stock. I have no plans to track the car, just enjoy the drive. Good luck.

For your area for an AP1 in a color that is arguably the least popular (i love my Suzuka blue) the price actually seems pretty fair. Maybe 1k lower than expected but honestly i was seeing cars for arouind that with similar mileage where i'm from (california bay area). Granted those cars were bought within days of posting. However i feel like in NC this is not as desirable of a car. Combine that with the color and the price is spot on (in my unprofessional opinion). I'd get a PPI done, but if all checks out i'd say pick it up.
Well guys I went. It was a good deal but I had to put 3000 down for deposit because the bank didn't want to do a car this old. I guess I have to save up some money or get really good credit :/
