Help choice between ...used NSX or New s2000
I need some input from the experts.....(ya right)
My choice is to trade my 2001 s2000 for a new S2000 or sell it and buy a used NSX...
If all else ... I will just keep my 01 s2k....
I have had a few troubles .... like every one.... mainly with the drive line... trans.. diff. and drive axles... Honda has fixed the tranny.. replaced the drive axles.. but there is still a buzzing noise coming from the diff.. and/or CV shafts... I recently tried to get them to take care of it at a different dealership than I bought the car from and they told me they would not fix the problem created by another dealer...(bs) o'well It drives just fine except for the buzzing..
What to do,,,
If I get a New S2000 .... am I going to have more of the same problems/// from what I can tell ...yes...
do I dare buy a 10 year old NSX ?????
All inputs or other suggestions of what to do will be helpful.....
Thanxs... Dave
By the way the S is one of a kind......

If you want to go for an NSX, then check out NSXPrime.com first. Their board is similar to here where the members seem to be pretty cool and can help you locate a reliable used one.
If it was me, I would go for a MY97+ if you can afford it ($45k+)

There was a previous thread answering this query, you can search it out for more responses.
My short response is the S offers more emotional excitement. The NSX's smoothness hides it's performance.

I went through same thing when i got my S. I found a 96 NSX, 36k miles, and was asking 36k. Looked clean from pics, but i looked into ownership of the NSX. Some probs w/NSX, if you damage the car in almost anyway it is EXPENSIVE to repair, for oil changes, it must be done by a "NSX Certified Mechanic", in some parts of the country that might not be a big deal, but in T-Town Ohio, Good luck. And IMO when it came down to it for the $, although im emensly in love with both cars, the s2k comes out on top.

They are both wonderful cars and I am lucky enough to currently own both
'92 Sebring Silver NSX & '02 Sebring Silver S2000 (have a thing for that color!)
First let me correct the post above me. You do not need a NSX tech to do an oil change. Even I can do that by myself (and I could never play a NSX tech on tv).
A lot of us in the NSX club work on our own cars. And like a previous post mentioned NSXPrime and the NSX club are great sources of information and help.
Both cars are wonderful and I couldn't tell you which one to get. Will admit that now that the weather is turning nice, I am really enjoying the S with the top down. But there is nothing like the thrill of driving the NSX around the race track.
My advice is to test drive them both. Don't be afraid of a 10-yr old NSX -- best value on the market. Just do your homework, read the FAQ on NSXPrime, and take your time to find the right car.
Best of luck.

ps. yes I keep forgetting to enter my VIN to change my sig
