Can anyone get me the Honda part number for the clear-front headlights? I am having work done (from pits, etc...) and the headlights are being replaced (insurance)-- but I don't want the ugly USA ones (with the yellow turn signal inserts). Any help appreciated--especially if you know where to get them (Or do I just order them from Honda??)

not sure, unless you get them through MG Racing, plus the motor adapters so the lights can be aligned correctly. 950+25 for the adapater I think.

but do let me know, I would like to do this too. after seeing the pics from Asheville - one had clears on a red, I dig em!

all ok with insurance covering the damages? I gotta call mine in today (State Farm).

who is the insurance with? and what body shop? because depending on your review - which should be sufficient - you can tell them they have another one with the same kind of work coming in very soon.

I've got Hartford as the underwriter... they were awesome.

I'm using a Body shop in Austin, TX called "Jeffs"

512-452-3373
6614 N. Lamar Blvd
Austin, TX 78752

My Rep: Donny Barker

These guys are amazingly nice people. They seem to work on higher-end cars... There were MANNNY Miata's, and 2 S2K's there when I first went. The shop is clean, and they don't "TAPE" anything off-- all is removed from the car. Furthermore, for pits, etc.. they bead-blast things like your hood, instead of trying to strip it by hand.

So far, I've been pleased... (So far anyway! Time well tell, they car hasn't been painted yet)

When you say they were able to help, you mean they got you the clear lights?

If you order them from MG Racing, you won't need to waste money on the motors. For an additional $25 they provide an adapter for adjusting the HIDs. The stock turn signal bulb assembly will not fit the clear European lamps. I just used professional super glue to glue the turn signal asssembly into place and it's worked fine.

Ack! I didn't know that the turn signals didn't fit... I didn't want anything half-assed installed. Since I'll have a spare set of lights, I'll practice taking them apart (and if successful) see if I can't have them polished out (the pits). If its easy enough, I'll do it to the new ones... I don't want a housing problem for the turn signals.
