Default Help! Does anyoen else have this Problem?

Okay, since the weather has been getting better i decided today i would put my top down; however, when i did it seemed as though it didnt go down all the way. Do any of you have this problem? I remember in the summer it would go completely down and flat, so is it just because it's still cold out side?

This has been reported a few times here. It has to do with the cold. I don't know what temp you have in Van right now but the owner's manual says something about when NOT to use the top.

So then this might not have anything to do with the weather. that sucks, hmm well maybe i'll just read the manual.

Well the weather here is pretty cold, before the sun comes up it's below 0.

Does anyone else have this problem? or experienced this?

Should i bring it to honda, and ask them whats wrong, or should i just wait untit it gets warmer to see if it is the cold weather?

More than likely it is just the cold weather, making the top stiffer thus harder to compress. In all my experiences with different Honda dealerships, my DOG seems to know just as much about the car I love going up there in one of my other cars, and asking questions about the S. I get all kinds of answers.

Below freezing is pretty cold for the plastic in the top to squeeze down to it's "thinner" configuration. If it's sunny out, let the sun warm up the top for a while before trying to put it down. It's not a real big deal. It just won't go as far down. I don't think it will cause any permanent harm. To ease you mind, if you ever park the car in a heated space, put it down and see that it does go all the way.

It has happened to me on a few occasions, most noticably after not lowering the top after a coupla weeks from cold weather. It's no big deal. It always springs back to normal after it warms up.

On topic: I too have noticed this to a small degree with ambient temps are around 40-50 degrees (my top down threshold)...top-down/heat up situations work perfectly for short trips for me. I wonder if the convert. top cover thing would even fit over my top in cold weather...hmmm
