More than likely it is just the cold weather, making the top stiffer thus harder to compress.

True story, I was at the parts counter for Honda dealership in Jersey City. I asked for oil drain washers for my s2000. The guy then asked me, which engine? I was like excuse me? He said is that a lx, dx or ex? I told him I think it was the dx engine. As soon as he turned to get the washer I ran out...

Thank you for all your responses, you have really put my mind at ease.

OhioRacer: I do not drive top down in below 0 temps, in the morning and before sunrise it's below 0, but in the afternoon it gets warmer, and the sun is out.

Its the cold. Same thing happens to me when I take the top down in the cold weather.

I haven't had it down below 0* F but I've had it down when the temperature was in the teens.

You have to ask yourself this question...
Did the top not go down enough, or has it been going down too far in the past???

But seriously.

I use to have a towel in the roof well.

Once it slid to the side. Like down to the side.

The top didn't go down all the way then.

I took my s2000 into honda and they said that the thing that tells the top to stop going down was not set right so it was shutting off the little motor or whatever too early. Sometimes it still dosent go down as much as Ive seen it do before and I live in Florida.
Whatever

Chr-2004

I thought the only thing that can stop the motor was letting go of the button.

Are they making a dig at you?
