Default Help: Explain material--Seats, console, and exhaust

What parts of the seat material are leather, which "pieces" are vinyl if any.

What is leather on the MY02 center console, I have a hunch it's just the perforated pad, or is that vinyl too?

The exhaust: Which parts are stainless steel and which are plain steel?

Please don't guess... tell me if you're sure. Thanks

WOW! Nobody knows.....

I guess I mainly wanted to know what materials are which, so I clean and treat them with the proper products.

I also wanted a good idea of how long the OEM exhaust might last.

The top portions of the seats are real leather...

The rear and under pieces of the seats are vinyl...

The '02 console cover is all vinyl...

None of the OEM exhaust is stainless. All steel...and heavy.

=-=-=-=-

You can use leather treatment on all sections of the seats, and I'm assuming the same for the console cover, with a leather treatment and you will be fine.

The OEM exhaust will last until it rusts out...its death will be quicker upon driving through salt-covered roads in the winter, unless you wash the underside frequently.

HTH

I didn't respond right away because I figured someone else would have better information than I. However, I do clean all the seat surfaces with a leather cleaner/treater a couple times a year. The console and dash and door panels, I use low-gloss ArmourAll also a couple times a year. The rest of the time, I used the baby California Duster in the interior surfaces. I use the same ArmourAll on the soft top. If you are one of those people who have "heard" bad things about ArmourAll, the go with 303 protectant. I've never had any issues with ArmourAll in the last decade or so that I've been using it. Maybe I stick out my tongue and fart just right when I use it to have never gotten bad results.

Now I don't like ArmorAll one bit, the way it applies, the way it smells, and so on. I like Lexol Vinyl stuff in the blue bottle.

ArmorAll does have one product I like, it's a cleaner that leaves a shine. I use it on my beater Cuz the dirt is in-ground and I don't want to scrub the material with harsh stuff. Old plastic is fragile on the surface.
