Default Name that Material!

OK, so I have this bottle of 303 Protectant in one hand, and a bottle of Zaino Leather In A Bottle in the other, and I'm thinking- Which do I use where? This is what I think, let me know where I'm wrong (btw, this is on a '03):

Seats: all leather
Dash: vinyl
Door-perforated part: leather
Door-non perforated part: vinyl
Shift Boot: vinyl
Center console surround: vinyl
Center Armrest (perforated portion): leather
Misc Trim Pieces: plastic

Thanks for your help!

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe only the center perforated part of the seats are leather.

SECRET AP1:
I'm almost sure that the whole seating surface is leather, but the the rest of the seat is vinyl.

Wolfpacker:
I can't say for sure, but I agree with you on everything.

Wolfpacker:

I agree with your list. Someone posted perforated sections of the doors and center console had to be leather because vinyl can't be perforated and hold it's shape. But I have never seen anything that stated clearly that they were leather. Only well educated guesses.

On the seats: Only the front sections of the seats are leather, the backs as vinyl.

Thanks, guys. Glad to know I wasn't totally off base. I'll take a close look at the seats tomorrow (the car is under the cover for the night). I'm pretty sure that the seating surface is leather, and the back is vinyl (forgot about that), but I'm not sure about the sides. I'll see if they're closer to the seating surface or the back, and use the proper protectant.

Again, Thanks.

Be careful what you use to treat the steering wheel. Some stuff will make it very slippery to get a grab onto. I did this once (can't remember what I used) and it was like trying to hold onto a greased pig. I don't do anything to it anymore except maybe use a damp cloth should is get too dirty.

From a different thread:

Leather:

Seats, excluding the very back flat-panel where the pockets are
Perforated door insters
Steering wheel
Shift knob ('02)
Perforated center arm-rest (this surprised me, but he said vinyl can't be perforated because it is "stringy")

Not Leather:

Center console on '02
Shift boot
E-brake handle
Door handles
Everything else

Glad I could help.

Thats not correct.

Not even all seating services are leather.

For example, any seat surface that is not perforated is vinyl.

A friend of mine had some d!ck throw a cigarrete into his car which landed on the passenger seat. It melted a big whole in the non perforated side bolster. Leather will just singe. Upon closer inspection we both noticed it was vinyl.

I was really surprised when my friend showed me this burn too.

Like you I had previously noticed that the seats had creasing like one would notice on leather.
