Default Help! On Front OEM Bumper : )

HI pplz : )

I have an 02 Suzuka Blue S2000.

While parked at work the other day, some guy hit my bumper and ran. Made a huge scratch and a crack on it.

I brought it to Honda and they said it will cost $600+ to get it all fixed up.

I was thinking about getting a new bumper instead.

Anyone know:

If an 04 Bumper can fit just fine on a 02 model? If so, where is the best place to get an replacement bumper except straight from Honda, because I know that's going to be expensive.

Thanks

- Ian

By doing it yourself, I think it'll be around $400-$500 to retrofit an ap1 with an ap2 bumper.

I have not done it before, but I know it's just unscrewing a few things and screwing it back on.

Can someone explain where AP1 and AP2 come from? I understand they are MY 2000-2003 and MY 2004-Current, I just can't find where they originated from. Don't mean to hijack the thread.

Check with Hardtopguy for pricing. You'll need the front bumper, the grill and some special clips or something to aid in attachment. You will also need to grind down a couple of points on your front frame so they don't cause dimples in the '04 bumper.
Even after currency exchange and shipping, I believe Hardtopguy pricing will be far cheaper than any Canadian dealer can quote you.
