Help! Hesitation on light accel and cruise
My little buddy is sick (berlina black '00, #7399, no mechanical mods). For a few months I've been experiencing a sudden intermittent hesitation/loss of power during cruise or soft/moderate, acceleration. If feels like hitting the rev limiter, and is sometimes that abrupt. The dealer (Long Beach Honda) has had it 3 times, and I'm getting pretty fed up. The first time, I got a "could not reproduce the problem". Then I drove with a technician and he saw what I was talking about. They cleaned the throttle bodies and injectors, but then, after talking to American Honda tech support, based on some MAP sensor (whatever the heck that is) and fuel pressure readings, gave me new injectors. They really have never been able to diagnose the problem. I have the extended warranty, luckily-the car has almost 56k miles as my daily driver. It was good for about a week with the new injectors, then started the exact same thing and again the dealer "could not reproduce the problem", even though they agreed with me last time.
I have a case open with American Honda, because the dealer really hasn't been able to help me at all, and I'm sick of going back there.
Anybody else had this problem? Any ideas? I think it has to be either fuel pump/line, ignition system, or sensor/computer. That doesn't really narrow it down much, and I'm no mechanic.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the 411. BUT what does the MAP sensor sense, exactly? And yes, it's the original battery, but there are no error messages from the electrical system (or any other system, for that matter)
