Help! How to remove shift boot?

I just got a Kevlar shift boot and I want to make sure that I install it right. Could someone plz help me out by telling me how to safely remove the shift boot? Thanks!

you should look at info on Rick's site for installation guides. he should have them there or somewhere on here.
