My name is ButtonBoy and I am a speed freak.
At first I had motorcycles, then a MG. That only whetted my appetite for speed, so I got into rotary Mazdas. Bridge-porting, pinned planetaries, roll cage... Later I moved up to a MR2t, but that wasn't enough. I looked at the Countach, but I am too tall. Diablos were out of my range financially, so I got a Viper GTS.
Man-O-man that was like mainlining! 145+ so fast you think of that as a normal speed. A contact patch so big it has it's own zip code. Acceleration is traction limited until you get to third gear- fifth gear if you go for a Level 3 blower... Then there was the SRT/10 I bought- it was getting out of control.
Sigh... I have tamed my needs with this calm little Japanese Honda-mobile. My wife bought into it- until she wound up the tach. Now her girlfriends call it the "Honda-rati". I've been found out- the only way to go slower is to buy a slower car.

I have the same problem. The radar detecter had saved my ass a number of times and has proven to be a great help. The most frustrating thing is trying to drive thru Delray Beach because of the ancient fart drivers there. But zig zagging has proven to be fun. You just have to watch for cops. I love the power of this car...you can just feel the gears pulling you thru the traffic.
