Default Help ID part that fell off in the car

I found this piece on the footwell of the driver's side one day. I have no idea where it belongs. Anyone know?

This has to be the most common "request to identify part" out there

Mine never had one so I never had to identify it when it fell off.

Suggestion: Take the photo again, and put a ruler near the part, to provide an estimate of size.

yup, i'm 100% sure it's from where the rear-view mirror attaches to the windshield. If it bothers you that much... glue it back on, or get a new mirror

Me too! I was excited to be able to answer it, but wasn't too confident when I saw several replies listed before I came in
