Funny thing is, it doesnt happen all the time?!?!

I've got a '00, stock wireless lock/unlock no alarm.

Unlock the door, don't open door ->door auto locks
Unlock the door, open/close door -> not sure
Unlock the door, open /close door, insert and turn key to acc, -> no auto lock.

This auto-lock crap, what a pain in the a$$. I wish it could be disabled. I'll lock the doors when I'm ready.

Unless it is after business hours, you should always call the nearest Honda dealership to come unlock the car. All they need is your VIN and photo ID (assuming they verify who owns the car). It is costs nothing and there is no risk of damage from a hangar being shoved down your door and you end up with a spare key for your car (though it won't start the engine).
