I'm wondering the same thing...

Locally, I've seen an '08 CR with 100miles for $31.5k about 20 minutes away from me.. There is another one a few hours away that is still available at retail (no discount). They are convinced that the right buyer will come and pay retail...

I guess it ultimately comes down to how badly you want the car, and if you are willing to risk that it goes to someone else just to save a little bit more.

Earlier in the year, I looked around for '09s and the lowest I was getting was invoice... I honestly don't think you can find it any lower unless you wait until next year (and run the risk of not getting what you want).

Good luck! I say get it!

I'm guessing "new" ones are going to be few and far between so I'd take it. Maybe say knock another $500 off and you'll take it.

As of now, I say no way if the first number is a 3

I would be shooting for atleast 29k otd

but like others said, if its a great car, the color you want and everything, whats another few bucks? Id rather pay a little extra to get what i wanted rather than saving some money and not getting what i want

you might be able to find some dealers willing to drop below the 30k mark for an '08. i'm not finding anyone in the country that is willing to drop under 30k otd for an '09 (but if you do know someone, let me know, i'd like to find out if they are or for real)

Lisle Honda in IL will sell 08 for $28,800 and has 3 on the lot.

Yeah, you should be able to do better than that on price although they may try to say "well, this is one of the last new ones and they aren't making anymore".

That being said, there are a couple of nearly new/mint s2k's in the classified right now (including mine ) and that could save you a few thousand for a car with only a couple of k's on it.

sounds like dealers have lots of leftover '08s but not many '09s (less produced I'd assume?)
