Help me decide for an exhaust for MY03

its either this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...72761&viewitem=

Neither of them are going to give you noticeable hp increase. That invidia claim is bogus, no exhaust system can gain the S2000 almost 7 WHP. On top of that you almost ALWAYS loose low end torque with a more free flowing exhaust.

With a car like the S2000, an exhaust will make it sound "cool" but not much more. It's not like an LS1 where an exhaust system can actually make a noticeable difference.

See my edit, last sentence.

Personally I'd get an exhaust because it sounds great on a car that is made for fun!

Much of this is wrong...

First, there are plenty of exhausts proven to show a gain of 12+ WHP on a stock S2000. See Greddy SE Dual dyno tests, and that isn't even a particularly loud or hardcore exhaust. Something like a 75mm HKS exhaust should see even more gains.

Second, torque is varied through pipe diameter, not through the restrictiveness that you'll find in the stock exhaust's noise-conscious and cost-conscious design. You won't "loose" any torque from a more free flowing exhaust at any RPM. High-revving Honda engines like the S2000's can often make the most power with no exhaust at all, just a short straight pipe after the header.

OP --> The second link doesn't work, but the Q300 has gotten good reviews from those on here that have it. Do a search to find the gains, although I doubt they will be significant because it is a very quiet system.

Show me a legitimate dyno curve that shows >10 whp gain on a stock S2000 motor from a cat-back exhaust system and I'll order 2 of them today.

Here is the ASM 70 mm stainless steel catback:

I was wrong about the Greddy SE Dual, it's 10.9 hp and not 12 . All info is from GoTuning's website, check it out.

Interesting. So the past 4 years of S2Ki members telling me that bolts ons do nothing for an S2000 are wrong? I'm still skeptical but if this is true I will adding an exhaust!
