HELP ME ! i dont know what's going on
ok finally today i got a copy of the appraisal estimate documents from my insurance.....
and i found out interesting thing on the paper....
instead of replacing my oem rims with new oem rims
it says EU(like, kind, quality) instead of E(oem replacement)and estimated the price for 160 each
i know my rims are worth 480 something from the factory and i thought that is the price they should give me cuz my rims have curb marks and scratched and i thought they need to be replaced...
sound like they are gonna replace with something "like, kind, qaulity" what is this mean anyway?
but i want new oem rims on my car ...
is it the insurance doing the wrong thing or im the one thinking wrong?

You should find out what your state law says regarding replacement with OEM parts, or if they are allowed to sub non-OEM replica parts.
how is the law here?
Insurance companies will typically get non-oem parts like panels, body parts, interior parts, etc., but I've never heard of them doing that on wheels!...damn, they're cheap!...but they're allowed to do it. You can try to fight it regardless. Good luck.
read your policy. if it says that EU parts are used, that's what you get, because that's what you PAID FOR!
You can spend more $ or get a better insurer that specs E parts, but since the $/claim is more you pay more.
Seems everyone wants to pay bottom dollar for insurance and get the world from them. You're putting in a claim for curb marks? Are the rims damaged seriously or just curbed?

ROFL, I would NOT put $160 rims on my car - unless it was a set of used OEMs...
Which, by the way would be cheaper than the $160/ea price and are relatively easy to get. Their condition should be acceptable too.

We pay and pay and pay thru the nose. They don't have a problem TAKING our money, but putting it out for repairs is quite another story........isn't it?
My insurance company (AAA) has items reconditioned before replacing with OEM. The actually spent more to fix my bumper than to buy a new one.
. They also reconditioned a rim too.I'd check the details of your policy and fight for OEM replacement if you can.
DOWN WITH THE MAN!
I have USAA and love them.
USAA is not-for-profit and only has you pay enough for them to break even. If they make money, the distribute it to you each year. They pay claims with little resisting, too. They also will fight for you, too. They espeically like to go after slime like State Farm.
