Default Help! with Mugen parts! plz!

Hi Guys, I really want the Mugen back bumper. I like the fact that the exhaust/muffler is supported by a beam on the bottom. Cause for some reason, without it, it reminds me of some pplz's car who's muffler/exhaust is kindda falling and u are driving behind the guy. Anyhow, Can someone how have installed the mugen parts help me with this. I just want the lower part of the mugen back skirt/bumper. There is a few parts on the website 84111-XGS-K0S0 $2700 [Only fits SS Rear Bumper] $1500.00 on url:
http://www.kingmotorsports.com/products/mu...0/exterior.html

so my question is, which one on the page is suppose to be the back bumper, and u notice the black covering underneath? is that included as part of the back bumper kit? and whether I have to have the mugen exhaust to install the bumper. Basically I want the entire back look except the spoiler.

Thanks in Advance

Oh and does anyone else know if there are other places that we can get these mugen parts for in North America? perferablly in CA

Dude, you are confused! The bumper is the entire piece from just underneath the lights down.
84111-XGS-K0S0 $2700

The $1500 is for the Mugen Exhaust. You need to use the exhaust in order to use the bumper. Can't do it with the stock exhaust. Also if you just email King they will be glad to answer any questions you have.

As turbo_pwr have said, stock or any other exaust for that matter cannot be used with Mugen back bumper. The muffler exit out slanted upward and if you ever seen inside of the back bumper, the tips would touch the back bumper support beam.
Sadly because of this the bumper support beam had to be removed and I don't see how you can keep the beam and have the exaust installed.

I have mentioned it to Scott at King's to change the info on pricing because it is bit confusing, but he hasn't done it yet.
Just by looking at the website, it sounds like they list bumper and exaust separate with price. But as turbo_pwr said, the entire kit including bumper and exaust is $2700. So disregard the separate list of exaust listed $1500. I guess you can buy them separate because they come in obviously different boxes but I don't see the point of buying each separately because it only works as a unit.

Unfortunately the cover underneath(i believe it also is carbon fiber as the bumper is carbon fiber reinforced) doens't come with the kit.
I've seen another picture(it looked little different) on my friend's Japanese site and a very good one on another(but not there anymore). This is one of the photo of Mugen's engineer car probably getting showcased on AutoSalon.

Anyway, I do not know the reason for not including this piece in the bumper kit, it would've been very nice.

Oh Question! by removing the rear bumper support beam, are their much safety issues related?
and also what's the point of the cover underneath besides it looks good underneath and probably prevent some pebbles from hitting the bottom of ur car . So basically in conclusion by getting this kit, I am trading looks for safey? : (

Thanks Again.

the bumper doesn't come painted. the only kind of body kits/accessories that come painted are the Honda OEM front spoiler, rear spoiler and side strakes.

The underside cover - it helps the air stream - improving aerodynamics of the car.

actually that is good news i thought i would have to pay
2700 plus 1500, which made me a little doubtfull.
Now I am completely convinced. I love the mugen rear
the best in the market, adds a lot to the car having the piece
under the muffler.

This s from the Mugen of Japan straight, notice there is no longer the under tray cover, this is how it comes. They took down the old picture of under tray not to confuse anyone.

What is it made of?

Now here is the part where the premium of Mugen price may worth it. The entire SS2200 aero kit except the adjustable wing is made of reinforced carbon fiber. You can easily feel how strong and rigid it is upon first touching it. It is proobably only body kit for S2000 made out of carbon fiber. The fit and finish as you would expect from Mugen, flawless except the adjustable wing which I love it very much but much need to be desired on pricing and finish department.
