Help - My S2000 won't start!!
My 2001 S2000 was in the garage for a week, and when I tried to start it yesterday there was no signs of life whatsoever. The alarm indicator did not blink, no console lights came on when I turned the ignition key.
I assumed the problem was a dead battery, but when I tried to jump-start it, there was still no sign of life. Also checked the fuses.
I do have a dealer-installed Honda alarm system, but the manual does not say anything about a "cut off" mode.
Does anybody have any ideas?

When you jumped it, are you sure you had all the connections correct? + to + and - of good car to solid ground on the engine of your S? If this is done properly, all your dash lights, map lights in mirror, radio ON, etc would work when you key it ON. If you get absolutely nothing, is there some possibility an small animal has chewed through your + cable or something in the main fuse box under the hood?
Xviper,
thanks for your suggestions. I'm pretty sure I did everything right when I jumped it (I've done it before and I even had another person double-check everything).
But, it was the battery after all. The AAA guy was just here, and jumped it from his truck. And this time it worked much better. First time I jumped it I probably didn't get enough juice through the cables, or I didn't let it sit long enough. But I'm surprised that I saw no life whatsoever. So, I guess jumper cables and where you jump it from does indeed make a difference. Lesson learned and my car is happy again.

Since it was your battery, it sounds like you have something putting a constant drain on it... I have no idea how to troubleshoot that (possibly it's the alarm, maybe you have some stereo equipment?) but in the meantime you probably should look into getting a battery tender.
