I've heard of an old injen cai and a new injen cai? I didnt know there was an old version or new version. can someone please let me know b/c i just bought the injen cai from someone (brand new) and hope I dont have the old version.

Also, maybe someone can help me with this...i installed the injen cai and i'm now getting a humming noise from the engine. (most noticable in the garage) not only that, but also a "whistling" sound when accelerating. I've checked and rechecked the hoses and connections and they were all correct. Does anyone know those sounds are? Thanks in advance,

The new one extends the pipe all the way behind the radiator and into the space right behind the right front fake air vent on the front bumper. You'd need to cut a hole in order to put the air filter right behind the fake vent.

I believe the sound you hear is from the engine sucking in the air. You would hear something similar with the stock airbox lid removed.
