You should probably go over to www.miataforum.com and do a lot of reading. I'm hanging out at all the boards trying to make a decision lately. I had acutually talked myself into buying a used miata and immediately putting about 12k into it and being done with it. It's not hard at all to get the miata well over 200 whp. Plus, replacement motors are super cheap. There are actually a large percentage of miatas that shipped with a torsen differential. Decifering whether one particular car has it or not is a little complicated, but if nothing else you can just call Mazda with the VIN and they'll tell you.

The moment of truth came though when I went to go drive one... I couldn't comfortably fit. Ok, so I thought all I'd have to do is get an aftermarket seat and small diameter steering wheel. Well, as it turns out, the car is so narrow that only the narrowest of even the racing buckets will fit. Looks like my options are getting smaller and smaller. Just today I had to bump my target price range up enough to include the M Coupe... otherwise the S2000 would have been my only option left until late next year.

Jason,

I noticed that you have been hanging out here for a few weeks. Do you have any plans to move into the S2000 performance business? Have you done any research on turbos for the stook?

One of the Turbo's is actually a guy that I run into often, he said he got 130HP, I almost laughed...no wiat, I did.

My Stook got 271 at the wheels...should have been higher (@285). Found out later that week that my SC belt was a little loose.

The newer miata's aren't as ugly as some of the older one IMO
