Default Help with new car purchase

Ok heres the deal! I am brand new here becasue I used to own a del sol vtec. Awesome car that I love to death but my friend is paying way over the blue book so I have to make the wiser decision and take the money and RUN! Now heres my dilema.....I love the rx7 and I love the s2000 and I also love the type r. Here are my choices in order of desire right now:

1) 94-95 Rx7 r2 (not 93...too many recals)
2) 2002 s2000
3) 97-01 integra type r

Now I know Im on the s2000 board and shouldnt be asking about other vehicles but you guys are all adults and its hard to find any info on rx7s and the honda boards are full of kids. (im only 19 but I try to act mature =] ) I have been doing my homework on the rx7 and I KNOW it will be work. The type r and stook are just get up and go. I tried searching for information but the searches bring up way too many posts and it ususally ends up in an argument over the best quarter mile time.

SOOOOOOOO my question to all you is: Which car should I go with? (or if you have another car in mind please give opinions) Thanks in advance for all your help and advice! All opinions are open!

Pretty simple to me:

Integra Type R if you are short on cash, but want a 'pretty-fast', possibly still warrantied car...

'02 S2K if you want Fun, convertible, warranty, awesome re-sale value, and have $32.8k (and you can read about 'fast', and 'twisites' on this site, so I don't bore you here with all that jazz)

94-95 RX-7 if you want to go REALLLY fast, great handling, nice power upgrades...BUT no warranty, and it'll be used (plus the potential $$ to fix anything wrong with it already).

If the answer isn't clear, don't get an S2000, save a few bucks and get an RX-7.

When I saw my first S2000 in October of 1999 I knew right then I had to have one. It was quite a hassle to track one down that I could actually buy, even at an unreasonable price, but I had one within a couple of months. If you don't feel passionate enough about the car that you'll do anything to get one, go with the less costly solution.

IMHO and not because of what I own, but of you choices, you'd have to go with the S2000. Why? Because a lot of the problems have been eliminated with the MY2002. It's a convertible. I belive it is the more powerful of the three and the quickest and best handling. I can almost guarantee you will be happy with the S2000.

Thanks for the insight! I do like to go really fast. Here are my priorities with my cars. I forgot to mention above.

1) Best handling car on planet
2) Really fast (doesnt have to me a mclaren but decent)
3) Looks good doing 1, and 2

all cars are nice, but my preference is an S all day long... but you didn't make any mention of price constraints (if any) ???

you can pick up used RX7's and ITR's from 10 - 18 K all over the place... but a new S2000 is around $33-35 out the door... if $ is no issue, then you would be a fool not to go for the S.

but like scottrnelson said, if you don't have a passion to own one specific vehicle and $ IS an issue, go with the less expensive car and you'll be just as happy.

Good points guys, THANKS!

One point is the money factor. I am 19 years old and I make a nice amount of money. I have realized that no matter what car I purchase I will never be able to afford the insurance so Im insuring it under my mom. So that way I can get any of the above cars......now down to price. I will have roughly $5-$7 grand down on whatever I buy! My credit is awesome (700+ score) so I should have a huge problem. Now obviuosly the payment will be a lot less on the r or the rex7 but the stook may be different. I have figured out I would be paying $480 a month for the s200 and around $300 for the other two. I think I can talk the dealership down to $30,000 pre tax on the s2000. (they know me very well-and some of the salesmen are starving) So with that noted.......what do you think I should do? I would like to steer clear of $480 a month but the vtec surge of that car and the honda name is just oh-so-nice. I just cant stop thinking about my one ride in the rx7! Talk about power!

Keep the opinions comming! I want as many as possible

If you reread your posts I think that you will understand that you already made your decision a long time ago. So go find your RX-7 and enjoy.

LOL! WLFSMITH you are so right! I love the rx7 moreso than I love the s2000. Its just Ive never owned anything but honda and I love the vtec system. I pretty much ruled out the r. (why spendd 18k for 200hp when I can spend 18k and get twin turbos.) So pretty much its a battle between the s2000 and the rx7-again.

Heres how I see it......on the one side we have reliability, vtec, convertible, hids, smallest cabin in the world (which i like) and on the other: we have twin turbo, insane handling, and awesome design......

Its a tough one...why cant I buy both
