Get the 05 there are too many changes on the 06. Traction control, fly by wire throtle, no holes in headrest and other stuff so do a search and decide for your self.

Have you had the chance to test drive an S2000 yet? All you'll get here is opinions. Everyone's got one but they won't necessarily reflect what "you" want or need.

The general opinions stated most often with regards to the '06 models is a dislike for the idea of drive by wire and the associated stability control electronics that go with it. Only you can decide whether or not these things are of any value to you.

I'd suggest that, if you're not familiar with the technology, do a bit of research and learn more about it. Then you can make a more informed decision as to whether or not it's for you. If you're committed to getting an S2000, I doubt you'll be disappointed in any year model.

Good luck & Drive Safe,
Steve R.

if you consider yourself a novice or don't have much RWD experience, the 06 may be a good choice.

No one here has driven an 06 and therefore has no good reason to dislike it more than the 05 (except those ugly new wheels ) so don't take their opinions too seriously.

My advice is to wait for the 06s to appear, test drive both, then make your decision.

As it's been said already, you'll be happy no matter what

Ok, chalk up another on the test drive board. Try an 05, 06, and an elise and then make your decision.

Again, you'll never know until you try it. If you're just looking for opinions on the Elise, well, it kicks ass!
