help with pos. battery cable plz

Well, my car got broken into, the cut the positive battery cable. So i bought a replacement.
The OEM disappears into the firewall. Where does this go and how can i get it out?

come on guys!!! im lost here and i cant drive my car. its already been 2 weeks since i drove it as it is. im going through withdrawals

I think it goes into the firewall, travels to the drivers side, exits the firewall and connects to the starter.

That cable goes through the firewall and up under black plastic cover over the windshield wipers. Then back through the firewall, and bolts into the fuse box on the driver's side of the car.
