Looking at a 2000 year model with only 6k miles. but upon checking the oil, it was down over 2 qts. Just a smidge of oil was showing on the dipstick. should I stay away from this one?

 

RUN AWAY! If it is that low now it has been driven that way for at least half of its total miles. Spend the extra money and get a new one. JMO.

 

@6k I bet they change the oil once, and then never checked it again. These thing drink the oil until 10-15k. MY00 are starting to fall out of warranty. They are covered for 36 months from the date of service. There is a build date on the VIN sticker inside the drivers door. That date + 2 months would give you a good round number of what that is.

You might want to pass on this unless you can get a Honda Care warranty.
