Thanks to everyone for your positive comments, I don't feel so bad now, actually figure this is a good life experience for him! if he's bought and sold 40 odd cars at his young age he should know better. Makes me wonder even more what has gone on with my car in the last 24hrs. We've put paperwork in the post now, so the authorities will have paperwork passing ownership to him! Yeay! Thanks again to all.

tell him to sell it and he go through the same hassle you did trying to sell it to pain in the asses like him.

Seriously, he may have swapped some of the parts on it already for parts that may have been on a donor car or cars from his buddies, you never really know. He could have done a motor, tranny, and diff swap in 24 hours. Definitely do not take it back as long as you were satisfied with the money you got out of it.

yup don't take it back. Glad you made the right decision.

I think in the US and depending on what insurance company, if you have an insurance policy on one car and buy another car, the policy can cover your new car for a month before they require you to have insurance on your new car. So if you get into an accident in your new car within 30 days, it is insured.

I would NEVER take a car back after i sold it . Just think of the abuse it could have endured or the illegal things that might have happened with it . NO WAY !

Were there any bank robberies in your area while he had the car, coulda been the getaway vehicle. I'm just saying . . .

You have no idea what went on while he had the car.

He got a good deal didn't he? Let him sell it for a profit. His demand to take the car back is unreasonable.

I agree with everyone else. I too made a bad purchase a long time ago on a car. Its just buyers remorse. It is not your problem anymore since you sold it.
