Default HELP! Tear in clutch cylinder bad?

I am trying to bleed my clutch but it won't work. We then saw this tear in the rubber part of the clutch cylinder(where the red circle is). Is this why we can't bleed the clutch?

No, the boot is just a dust cover. Here's a how to on gravity bleeding the clutch: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=354719

It can be a pita if you try to pump the pedal back and forth.

Here is what happened. We were bleeding the clutch and brake fluid was coming out of the tear, so we thought it was important. Problem was, the piece inside the rubber cover wasn't all the way in the clutch slave cylinder so brake fluid was leaking through. Pushed it all the way in and all was fine.

This happened to me when another member and I did my install.
You just needed to make sure it is seated properly thats all.
