Default here is my "dilemma"

If u can call it one.

I have never bought a used car in my long life- mainly because I buy hi-po cars with manual tranny and I am afraid that I will get the ringer that has been abused (crazy I know).

Drove a s2000 with 35K on the click (which I know is lo for Toy and Honda) and all seemed good (2006 and certified by Honda).

I loved the car -listed at $21K which seems, when you look at wholesale prices a little high but will negotiate).

I want to drive it another 75K.

How comfortable should I be with the Honda certified thing- do they check for over reving (like Porsche)? Any risks?

Thanks s2000 lovers!

what year is the car? If it is Honda certified and has warranty then you should not worry.

If you plan on modding, the CPO is pretty worthless. HondaCare can be really strict.

The s2k is pretty robust and can take the kind of driving it was meant for. Mine has 100k miles, hundreds of autox runs, several track days, a few Dragons and it's still hanging in there. The only major break has been the diff at 80k miles.

I purchased mine with 30k used with no warranty.
Many autox runs later it's still fine. The only thing I've
had to change is fluids.

The S2000 is fairly robust, I think you should be able to get another 75k miles no problem. Just change your lfuids and you should be fine.

I think my 2001 had been beat on a little. It had been through a few owners before I got it with 58,000 miles. I put in a clutch at 72, 000 and replaced a half shaft a couple of thousand after that. Now has 82,000 and I plan to run it a few more years.
