If it as hot out, what about heat bog? This occured when I was on the way back from Lake Havasu on Labor Day.

I just pushed in the clutch and blipped the throttle a couple of times to make sure the motor was still revving high, and it was.

Check your air cleaner to make sure your car can breath some good air.

Good Luck,
Hockey

I found no fix, I just know not to hold the gas down really softly for longer than 2 seconds. It hasn't happened since then.

DancingFool -

I had this problem the other day. It was after I just got out of work and floored it. I think my car wasn't warmed up all the way though. Sounds like yours was...

I have exactly the same problem you are describing! It only happens to me while in traffic and when I "feather" the gas softly while the cars in front of me start to slowly accelerate.
It almost feels like the clutch is being pushed in and out...like when those newbies first start driving a stick shift car and they can't let out the clutch smoothly.

My votes for the MAP Sensor.

Unscrew it and give it a whack w/ the back of the screwdriver.

No more hesitation -- Semi-permanent fix. I did this 10,000 miles ago and it hasn

I remember this exact question where someone gave a picture of the map sensor with an arrow. Damn... I can't remember the thread though. I will try to find it and paste a link for you.
