Hey guys.....
Sorry for the really short description I was trying to get it done right before class, then my professor walked in and he despises laptops.
I have lots of stains on my garage floor right below where my diff sits. My dad was painting it and put some chemical down to clean it, then we saw fresh drips on my freshly cleaned floor.
I got under to look at it and there was fluid around the jack point on the outside (all the way around).... but I don't have clicking noises, harshness, etc. So I'm wondering if the fill plug could be lose, but that doesn't make sense to me because the fluid sits below it. I think it would be impossible for the drain plug to account for it, because it is above where it would drain out.
BUT no noises.... let me stress that. No clicking, grinding, or anything else coming from the rear.

Get a flashlight and a camera.
Take a picture of what's leaking.
The oil-filled diff mounts are known to fail and leak as well.
Much easier and cheaper than fixing a broken diff.

That sounds like a likely suspect.
