Hey everyone!! We'll it's been just over 2 years since I've owned an S2000 and I'm closing on my sale of my Ridgeline and coming back home!!! I dont know if I should get a close-out 06 (white this time) or do some searching for an AP1, any suggestions, leads? Hope to see you guys on the boards soon!

depends on your plans cosmetics wise with the stook this time around. If you are going to do some crazy body mods go with an ap1 otherwise stick to ap2. Good to see you back in the s2k family

 

Forget the Ridgeline!! What happened to the XPlimited? That is a great ski.

 

I would go for the AP2, unless you really have a strong preference for the AP1 stuff. A newer car just makes life easier ...

Anyway, welcome back!

 

Because AP1 generally consumes much more oil and has less attractive features (headlights, tail lights, from bumper, center console, etc.), I'd go with the AP2. Especially considering the fact that you've already experienced the first generation S2000.

 

If I had the choice, I'd go Ap2.

 

I had an AP1 for a few years, sold it, and when I was in the market for another one I specifically searched for 02 & 03 only.

I'm now happy with my second AP1 and wouldn't have it any other way. IMHO I think the AP1 is more of a pure sports car and better represents what Honda's intended purpose was.

Either way I still love any model year S2K.

I personally love my AP1. I know there are many differences between AP1 and AP2, but the stuff I liked on the AP2 I am currently changing on my AP1. Such as center console and 2004 wheels, and I just love that 9K redline. Get an AP1 it will make you feel right at home

 

Buy the one you want.
