I do not understand why someone making the error of not properly recognizing your car makes you upset. just have a coke, smile and enjoy the ride. Remenmber to look in the rear view mirror for the look on thier face when they see it's a Honda.

Does anyone else think the rear of the stook looks just a bit too much like the rear of a Miata? Take a look at both - they're very similar. This was one of my concerns when shopping for a new car. I didn't want to pay $33k and have it mistaken for a Miata (not that there's anything wrong with Miatas). Anyway, the "bang for the buck" of the S2k won me over. I've just gotten mine past the 600 mi break-in period and have been trying out the VTEC. What a rush!! Now I'll probably get wrinkles from my constant ear-to-ear grin!!

Many people have asked me what kind of car it is and speculated about it, but no one has suggested that it is a Miata.

The rear end of the S2000 is too 'fat' to be mistaken for a Miata.... IMO. When you look at the flare of the fenders, the rubber, the twin exhausts, the car's stance on the road you can tell it's a bit more 'serious' than that.

BTW I do like Miatas... I just like S2000's more.

I always felt that the rear of the S2000 is the most unappealing part of its design. In my view cars (and I mean any car not just sports cars) should look low and wide not short and stubby - which unfortunately is what the rear end of the S2000 is. I specifically didn't purchase one of the darker colours as I think the darkness accentuates this look.

I definitely think the back end looks like a Miata - the shape of the tail lights being the dominant feature. I think the Mazda looks better than the S2000 but not as good as the original Miata - the hump in the middle of the boot (trunk) just makes the car look taller rather than flatter.

Most people think I'm driving either the new MR2 or the SLK. At least a Porche would be an upgrade.
