I've been rather discontent with the keyless entry remote. It is the same remote that every other honda (aside from the new accord) comes with. I tried covering it with vinyl, and I've melted one trying to paint it...
Yesterday, I was messing around with my friend's acura TL Type S remote, and was able to fit my board in the housing. The only difference in the housings is where the battery sits. I can modify it no problem, and am ordering one to tinker with... The problem? I need a logo to cover the big acura logo on the back. Would it be possible to get an S badge for this? Would anyone else even bother doing this mod if one were available? Am I crazy? Do I have too much time on my hands?

or ?

actually you'd be better off changing all the H badges to As and start going to an Acura dealer for servicing. You'll get another year on the warranty that way.

I don't think it is worth the trouble & $. It is just a remote that stays in my pocket all the thime anyway.

I likely woudn't consider the mod for the reasons listed above, but it is a neat innovation. Kudos to you for that!

Given all the irons we have in the fire right now, I don't think we'll take this one on.

Understandable, but could you have a badge made? I know that if it is not a mass production item, the core cost of making it is rather high, but I'd still do it. If not, then I'll just use vinyl and testors clear coat.
