My ECU was not working good due to a small crash,it got short-circuit and didn't turn on the air pump on cold engine.I didn't buy a new ecu but I got it fixed by a guy that knows them.What I want to know,it turns on now but when I give the car gas more than 2000revs the pump goes off and when the rpm comes still it goes on again.then normally when the cars worms up it goes off.I cant remember if it worked all the way when the engine was cold no matter if I gave it gas,before I crashed it.
Can somebody check it on his car and tell me,When you start the car and its cold give it gas and hear if the pump goes off,you can hear it or see it go on when the tacho blinks cos it drains a lot power.

My pump goes off at around 2k if I depress the accelerator when cold and then comes back on when it gets down to idle.

Just some advice, if your ECU was damaged in an accident you should file an insurance claim to have it replaced, you don't want a solder job failing your ECU while driving.

 

Thanks,That helped.Thats what happends to me also.New ecu is about 1500$ here and i am happy with the job done by the man who fixed it.The only man who understands thing like this is him,And no other function was damadged by the small crash but the two wires comming from the ecu to the air pump got naked and touched,thats why it got short-circuited.
